Network Installation of VEOS

If installation from a local medium (e.g., a USB flash drive) fails with an error or the installer does not detect the packages, this is often due to hardware compatibility issues or incorrect preparation of the medium. In this case, the optimal solution is to use the built-in capability to install VEOS over the network.

To do this, you need to:

1. Go to the "Installation Source" dialog
2. In the dialog that opens:
   1. select the "On the network" option
   2. change the link type from "Closest mirror" to "Http(s)"
   3. enter the link to the VEOS network repository "http://repo.vasexperts.com/veos/8/Minimal/x86_64/os"
      1. where "8" is the main branch of the VEOS version being installed, e.g., 8 for 8.7, 8.8, and 8.10; 10 for 10.1, and so on
   4. if necessary, adjust internet access parameters — "Proxy setup…"
   5. press "Done"

Subsequent installation steps are completely identical to a standard installation from a local medium.
